New Youth Guidance Product . . .

Career Direct-Youth Exploration Survey, a new guidance product for students ages 13 to16.  Career Direct-YES! is a self-discovery tool to help youth learn a biblically based process for making decisions about their current activities and future career. God designed young people with certain strengths, gifts, interests, and temperaments to accomplish His purpose in their lives.

The new YES! profiles a student in four areas: personality style, vocational interests, work abilities, and work priorities. All the surveys are self-scoring.

The package of materials contains a 120-page Guidebook that helps youth identify their God-given design and how it relates to their education, extracurricular activities, relationships, work, and ultimate career. A Passport leads students through exercises to help them team a process for making life, education, and occupational decisions. The program is designed to be fun, instructive, revealing, and interactive.

The Career Direct-YES! can be used by individuals and is ideal in group settings: Christian school, church youth group, or one-day seminar. A Leaders' Guide will be available in November 1998.

Parents are encouraged to become partners with their children in this discovery journey, and the parents' guide, Unfolding Your Child, helps them achieve this goal.

No longer do young people have to enter college or the world of work without understanding the principle of the stewardship of talents and their own unique work--related attributes, the YES! answers both of those needs.
